Mamut The Whisky Joe Slam Classic trout and salmon and is a photo release tournament. Fish data is shared with the several States agencies and local marine wildlife to marine research. Registration is online at http://www.KayakFishingClassicS.com and is now open. Early registrants earn bonus points are added tournament in total points to take advantage of early registration. There many generous sponsors and will make concessions. Sponsors include; Freedom Hawk Kayaks, Fishing Products Albright, sunglasses, ocean waves, Aqua Design, Custom Wood High Roller lures, Kanopy Kayak Kayak Fishing Magazine, Kayak fisherman, Florida Fly Fishing Magazine, Windham design. In addition, Contestants earn points to qualify for the National Championship at the invitation of the tournament and a shot at the Grand Prix of the Freedom Hawk Kayaks, the new Freedom 12 kayak. There are two divisions in the traditional fishing, Fishing and Light Tackle. Contestants in the Whiskey Joe Slam Classic Mammoth can fish wherever they want. There is a boat ramp on the Courtney Campbell Cswy that will put fishermen in a mangrove lined bay where the fishing is good reporting. Other areas include the possible Double Branch Creek, and Philip Park Alafia River is located near the hotel as well as the right of the beach Joe whiskey. In the case of inclement weather, the Mammoth Slam Classic will be held two weeks after the original date. The fishermen who take advantage of early registration simply apply the fee to the event date and keep makeup bonus points.
