Design flaw: why do not all laptops made of metal (steel, aluminum), as the Apple MacBook Pro?
Why do not all laptops made of metal (steel, aluminum), as the Apple MacBook Pro? My father recently bought an Apple Macbook Pro Very impressive laptop. But what really caught my attention is the fact that one is made of genuine aluminum block. So I wonder why electronic devices and are more consumer electronics and external shells made of metal? Without doubt, then it is almost indestructible. And I realized another failure in many mobile phones is that the LCD screen is positioned too close to the real plastic screen around it. To see what I mean, look at a Samsung D600, and look at the screen from an angle, and you'll notice that there is a fairly large gap between the screen and the interior plastic real LCD. This is good. Because without that difference, you can drop your phone and the LCD screen cracks easily. Many laptops have this same design flaw.
Do not equate the potential damage clash with the outside casing of the PC. In fact, a piece of solid metal material can transmit the shock of a better built frame multilayer plastic. Where plastic is not preferred, while dissipating the energy of impact of the LCD screen or other electronic components. Moreover, it depends on how shock seals are mounted on the case. Yes, the case would be indestructible, but then you can let the internal components to bear the brunt of the crash ....
