fly tying supplies?
I am looking to start tying things and wonder what to buy, besides the obvious tools and vise I'm going to gather a team. i will be mostly dry tying flies and nymphs few. none of the lake trout.
Hilo, silk was my first thread, kevlar used for large flies. Cement head Flexament Dave is pretty good. I can wear nail polish for larger flies and nail polish diluted for small flies now. Some of grizzly hackle or a pen color mayfly dry flies. have to dry the ride quality. At least high quality silver pen wet fly (much cheaper than dry) furry critters, etc. I like any gray stripes due to a piece of moose hair on the skin or deer hair. I like half light brown, if you only had one color. I have white through black olive myself. Dry fly dubbing. perhaps gray or beige, but a full range nymph dubbing, a friend uses hair your cat, some buy a rabbit mask, you can get wet fly dubbing.
