Let me set the scene: you've been in the water all day, the sea was choppy, the wind constant. FALSE! * If you do, you can really help the corrosion process. What I do is buy furniture polish. Yes, indeed, furniture polish, preferably from Orange Glo a spray bottle or aerosol. Then spray down everything the guides of the rod, the rod, reel, and reel seat, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then come back and clean it.
